Vermiculite is obtained by weathering or hydrothermal modification of biotite or phlogopite to create an absorbent heat-resistant material, and mica is obtained by a chemical reaction between quartz and granite. Together, these two natural minerals create an amazingly beautiful and durable coating that can be applied to walls.
